URO 4-on-4 Christmas Ball Hockey Tournament Rules

Urban Rec Okanagan Ball Hockey Tournament Rules

Rules will follow the regular URO 4-on-4 rules found here:

With the following exceptions:

Penalties:

- Minors are 2-minutes
- Double minors are 4-minutes
- Majors are 5-minutes

Round Robin:

- 2x19-minute periods (last minute within 1 goals is stop time)
- Mercy rule is 7-goals at any point in the 2nd period
- Round Robin games end in a tie
- Players must play one round robin game to be eligible for playoffs

Playoffs:

- 2x20-minute periods (last minute within 2 goals is stop time)
- Mercy rule is 7-goals at any point in the 2nd period

Tie breakers:

- Quarterfinals – 5-minutes 3-on-3 OT + Shootout.
- Semifinals - 10-minutes 3-on-3 OT + Shootout
- Finals - Continuous 4-on-4 OT

Suspensions:

- All suspensions will be handled on site and will follow the guidelines set in place by previous suspensions during URO league play.

- Any suspended player will be ineligible to take part in any round-robin or playoff game until they've served their full suspension.  This includes being on the bench or coming onto the arena floor.

- Suspensions could carry over to URO league play if there are not enough tournament games to properly serve said suspension.
