URO Coed 6's Volleyball Tournament - Spring Rules

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY AND ROSTERS

Team rosters must be complete by 2pm the day prior or the team will not be permitted to play as per our insurance company’s directive- so please complete your roster ASAP! See directives at the bottom of the rules.

Players must play in a minimum of 1 round-robin game to be eligible for playoffs.

Coed 6's with Urban Rec Okanagan means you must have 2 of any gender minimum on the court. If you are short and only have 1 of a particular gender you must play short.

Players may only play with ONE team through playoffs unless an injury calls for extreme circumstances.

SCHEDULE INFO

Round-Robin

All teams will play 3 seeding games and are guaranteed 1 playoff match, but we try to get more in if we can!

Round-robin games will be a total of 30-minutes in length to allow for teams to play two 21-point games.

If we have 18 teams registered their could be a 2-game wait time (60 min) between some games. If this happens we have make the schedule to allow for a 5-minute warm-up. If you finish your 2 sets early please leave the court to allow teams time to warm-up.

If we have less than 18 teams and time to allow for full 3-set seeding matches we will let you know!

Seeding will be based on wins and then point differential. There will be an 18-point cap on differential.

Playoffs
Playoffs will be best of three - 21-21-15 - 45-minute timeslots. Finals generally run uncapped for a true ultimate winner!

We do our best to divide into proper divisions with championship shirts for any division of teams in the finals.

Roster Completion
For insurance purposes, all teams participating in any Urban Rec Okanagan league or tournament must have a complete online team roster that meets the following conditions:

1- The roster must have the minimum number of players required to field a team - this means at least 4 players, including 1 of each gender. If a team is short a gender they must play a player short.

AND

2- 100% of the people on the roster must indicate that they have read the online waiver (don't worry about the confirmed column- our insurance company is only concerned with the waiver column)

Any subs that may play for you in the tournament must also be added to your team roster and they must indicate that they have read the online waiver.

1. Click this link – https://okanagan.urbanrec.ca
2. Login & update profile if needed – please ensure both your email and contact phone number are up to date
3. Click on Team Roster
4. Click on “Add to Roster” at the bottom of the box
6. Type in the email address of a team member you wish to add to your roster, then hit submit
7. Repeat step 6 for each member of your team. You can only enter 1 e-mail at a time.
8. Once you have entered each member of your team roster they will appear on your roster – the system will automatically send an email to each email address that you enter. Each email address contains a specific and unique link that the team member needs to click on to confirm their participation and if necessary, create an Urban Rec Okanagan account and acknowledge the on-line waiver.

As team captain, you can check your team roster to see who on your team has not indicated that they have read the online waiver and follow up with those individuals accordingly. If this member already has an account with Urban Rec Okanagan (you can see their first and last name on your roster), these members simply need to log into their accounts to update their waivers.
